Member Profile | ImajImaj - Singer, Screenwriter, Novelist, HumanitarianPosted September 20, 2009 As the child of an actor, Imaj grew up on movie sets and in recording studios in the heart of Miami Beach. She'd often crawl around her father's theatre only to find herself being picked up and cuddled by various celebrities. And in the eve of every morning, she would sit on her father's lap while he sang and played the piano for her. This flared her budding talent for the arts. She's been singing since she could speak, began writing novels and constructing visual artwork at the age of 6, labeled a child prodigy by 9, and wrote her first Audio Book adaption of Cinderella, when she was 10-years-old. Imaj was raised to know God as love that breathes life into every single person without creating an "I can't" bone in their body. And because she was never told otherwise, she has always assumed there was nothing she couldn't do. As a result, although her passions flourish from within, she's always accredited her gift as stemming from something greater than herself. Now, on her fifth screenplay, with a showcasing of her visual artwork at the Dallas Museum of Art and a solid loving foundation behind her, she's of the knowledge that the sky’s not the limit the ground is (and even resources extending from that can be harnessed). She's created her own artistic milieu, consisting of cultural irrelevance and absent of trite racial boundaries. She's grown to sing professionally in five genres delving in Country, Pop, Soul, R&B, Opera; and several languages including French, Italian, Spanish, Japanese and more. At the moment, she's recording her music album, seeking production deals and writing a novel for her romantic coming-of-age screenplay, "Harlow". Imaj has recently released a World Peace music video in support of, and featured on, emergent new social movement called The Venus Project. Watch "Love Only Love" (below).
